Student success

At Birrong Public School we are dedicated to achieving excellent outcomes, with strong student growth in literacy and numeracy. Former students have gone on to study degrees in business and education. We provide free, high-quality education designed to support lifelong learning and success.

A world of opportunities

Our school offers a range of enrichment and extra-curricular activities. Students can explore their talents and interests by participating in band, choir, team sports, swimming and athletics, the statewide Schools Spectacular, public speaking, and various leadership roles. With a team of committed staff and access to modern resources, we support students to strive to reach their full potential in all areas of the curriculum.

Diverse communities

Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds with over 30 language groups creating a rich and diverse community. We offer students opportunities to celebrate diversity through Belonging Day. We celebrate diversity and create well-rounded global citizens.

Support for all learners

We support students' transition to primary school with the Birrong Beginners program. Our specialist educators work with students needing additional support in literacy, numeracy and English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D). Individualised learning plans ensure all students can grow with confidence, develop resilience and prepare for their future. Every student has access to a school counsellor and student support officer.
